Travel Tips
- The fastest buses are Airavat Club Class and Club Class 2.0, at about 4½ to 5½ hours. Karnataka Sarige and Ashwamedha are the cheapest (from ₹376) and take about 5¼ to 6¼ hours.
- For a morning darshan, take a night bus between 09:00 PM and 11:45 PM; most reach Tirupati between 03:00 AM and 06:00 AM.
- Buses start from Kempegowda Bus Station (Terminal 1 and 3) and also pick up at Tin Factory, KR Puram, ITI main gate, Hosakote and the Kolar bypass, which saves time if you live in east Bengaluru.
- Book your TTD darshan slot first, then the bus. Weekends, Brahmotsavam and Vaikunta Ekadasi are very busy, so book bus seats a week ahead.
Best time to travel: September to February is the most comfortable time, with mild weather in Tirupati and Tirumala. Summer (April to June) is very hot in the plains; prefer night buses then.
