Travel Tips
- There is only one KSRTC bus a day, so book a few days ahead, especially for Friday and Sunday nights.
- The 09:01 PM departure reaches Ernakulam at about 06:00 AM, in time to connect with Kochi Metro and city buses for the morning.
- You can board at Mangaluru Bus Station, Jyothi Circle, Kankanady, Pumpwel or Thokkottu. Thokkottu is the last pick-up before the bus leaves for Kerala.
- Airavat Club Class is an AC seater, not a sleeper. Carry a light shawl for the AC and keep your ID handy for the Kerala border checks.
Best time to travel: October to March is the best time to travel, with dry weather along the coast. During the June to September monsoon, NH 66 stretches in Kerala can be slow due to heavy rain and road work, so allow extra time.
