Travel Tips
- All 5 buses leave in the afternoon or night (12:14 PM to 10:45 PM); there is no morning bus to Mysuru from Dharmasthala.
- The 12:14 PM Ashwamedha reaches Mysuru at 06:43 PM, the best option if you want to arrive the same evening.
- The 10:45 PM Airavat Club Class is the only AC bus and reaches Mysuru at about 04:00 AM.
- Pilgrim crowds peak on weekends and during Laksha Deepotsava, so book the reservable buses on ksrtc.in a few days ahead.
Best time to travel: October to February is the most comfortable time for the Dharmasthala–Mysore trip. The monsoon (June to September) makes the Western Ghats section of the route slow.
